Late 17th Century Italian Marble Inlaid Ebonised Mirror

A rare diminutive late 17th Century Italian ebonised ripple moulded mirror. Circa 1690.

The beautifully foxed rectangular mercury plate within a ripple moulded frame, inset with semi-precious hard stones including cornelian and lapis lazuli. Topped with a small bronze winged putti mask.

Signs of historic woodworm (now long gone) and age related bumps, bruises and minor losses, as expected on a 17th Century mirror.
